Among his duties in the one year appointment, Dr. Muhairwe is expected to give lectures in management related courses in the aforementioned department, supervise PhD students, act in an advisory role, and also be a faculty ambassador to the outside world. In his remarks Dr. Muhairwe pledged support to the faculty starting with having the CIT student interns gain industrial experience with NWSC. Dr. Muhairwe also said `I believe Makerere is doing great in terms of IT. You have trained many of our staff and they are doing a good Job, he stressed. `We will publicise the unit and act as your ambassadors,’ he pledged.
