Welcome to the Muhairwe Education Trust Limited (METL). METL is a non-profit organization that was set up to give hope to the disadvantaged children through supporting them to access higher education and research opportunities. We know that higher education and research are fundamental prerequisites of sustainable economic development and a sure way of supporting any country’s efforts to secure a bright future for its citizens.
Our belief is that every child, not only needs to have basic school education (primary and secondary education), but also needs to complete tertiary education to qualify for gainful employment. We aim at facilitating as many disadvantaged and deserving children as possible, in advancing their education after secondary school.
The Trust is completely dependent on private voluntary support and is run by committed volunteers who are honest, caring and compassionate to the cause of the Trust.I would like to take this opportunity to extend SPECIAL THANKS to those who have made contributions in whatever form to support our efforts.
We welcome all people, organizations and institutions of education who are willing to partner with us to give opportunities to financially marginalized, yet academically highly competent young people to have a chance at University Education and make this dream a reality.
We are optimistic that by focusing on our goals and working with our partners, we can help the disadvantaged children to get the chance to live a better and productive life.
